Ms. Peggy Blum

 Ms. Blum began her career in fashion trend forecasting at Pat Tunsky Inc. in New York City and Nigel French International in London, UK. She has worked as a Fashion Editor at Seventeen magazine, and as a Fashion Director at Carole Little/St. Tropez West, Los Angeles. She was also co-founder of a game + fashion consultancy firm, SourcePlay LLC.

A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Professor Blum’s teaching experience includes: Marist College, New York: Shenkar College of Design + Engineering in Tel Aviv, Israel: the University of Texas in Austin, Texas; Schiller University, Paris, France; Texas State University and The Art Institutes, Austin, Texas.

A recipient of the President’s Bridging Disciplines Sustainability Course Development Award, she created the first sustainable fashion class in the Textiles and Apparel Program at the University of Texas, Austin in 2018. Presently, she leads a Fashion + Sustainability education abroad program in London and Paris.

As author of Circular Fashion: Making the Fashion Industry Sustainable, she enjoys teaching people better ways to consume fashion, and participates in sustainability initiatives around the world.
